Medical Office Assistant

Central Coast Home Health is a locally owned and operated organization with an excellent reputation throughout the San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties. We are seeking a weekend Medical Office Assistant to join our team in our San Luis Obispo office.

The Office Assistant will distribute faxes, answer phones, and handle multiple tasks for a variety of disciplines with accuracy and efficiency, answering questions and assisting patients as able, taking messages as needed to ensure patient care is planned, coordinated and delivered appropriately while dealing with constant interruptions with the ability to stay on task and re-prioritize workload as needed.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday from 8AM-5 PM, with 1 weekend day rotation every other week.

Qualifications:

  • Must have previous work experience in a busy office environment
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook and Word) and the ability to learn new software and computer programs
  • Must be able to keep internal business information confidential
  • Healthcare industry background not required, but helpful
